The 2026 Harvest Is Complete: 6,000 Garlic Plants and a Whole Lot of Gratitude

The garlic harvest is officially complete, and what a week it has been.

This year marked our fourth garlic harvest here at Honeyville Acres, and it was our biggest yet. Over the course of several long days, our family harvested more than 6,000 garlic plants by hand. Every bulb was carefully pulled from the soil, sorted, and hung to cure.

It's hard to describe the feeling of walking into the curing area and seeing thousands of beautiful garlic bulbs hanging in neat rows. After months of planting, weeding, irrigating, and watching the weather, harvest is the moment when all of that work becomes real.

This year's garlic looks incredible. The bulbs are large, healthy, and full of character. Our heirloom varieties have produced some of the nicest garlic we've grown to date, and we're excited to share them with you later this season.

Many people think harvest means the garlic is ready to eat immediately, but there's still an important step ahead- the curing process.

Over the next several weeks, the garlic will hang and dry in a well-ventilated space. During this time, the bulbs continue to mature. The outer layers dry down and form the protective wrapper that helps preserve the garlic for long-term storage. Curing also allows the flavor to develop, creating the rich, complex taste that makes heirloom garlic so special.

As we look around at this year's harvest, we're feeling incredibly grateful. Grateful for healthy soil, favorable growing conditions, and most of all, for the support of our customers who make it possible for us to keep growing.

We'll be sharing updates from the curing process over the coming weeks, along with information about when this year's garlic will become available.

For now, we're taking a moment to appreciate a successful harvest and the family effort that made it possible.
